Mentioning of death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in the "Events" section

[edit]

Is it really necessary to have that being that he is already listed in the "Deaths" section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.41.60.144 (talk) 20:33, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I previously thought not and reverted one addition. But given that it is world-wide news, and is now on the Main page of en.wiki, I think it is also a very notable event. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:37, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just removed it from the "Events" section before reading this. The item for inclusion is a death, not an event. We have a section for deaths, which is where it belongs. It doesn't matter how newsworthy it is. Toddst1 (talk) 20:58, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
